Seduction by Sonya Pletes for Moooi -
A New Collaboration
Salone del Mobile - Milan, April 2015

Sonya Pletes and Moooi Carpets launch a new Signature Rug & Carpet Design during the annual Salone del Mobile in Milan from 13th – 19th April 2015 at Via Savona 56, Tortona.

The Seduction Rug marks the first collaboration between Sonya Pletes and Moooi Carpets. It will be exhibited for the first time with other new designs for the Moooi Carpets Signature Collection from renowned names in the fields of interior design, fashion, visual arts, textile design and illustrative photography including: Bas Kosters, Bertjan Pot, Broersen en Lukacs, Maison Christian Lacroix, Edward van de Vliet, Front, Jurgen Bey, Klaus Haapaniemi, Marcel Wanders, Marian Bantjes, Moooi Works, Neri & Hu, Ross Lovegrove, Sonya Pletes and Studio Job.

The new design Seduction is inspired by notions of great romantic love and evokes alluring beauty and dramatic romanticism. The ivory roses, shy with a chaste purity abandon themselves to the blood red wash of colour that sweeps across their delicate petals and falls within the dark velvet shadows. Like a Sirens call this image haunts and teases the viewer with a seductive temptation

Moooi the renowned Dutch furniture brand has always been about bringing additional beauty to our lives by decorating our homes, offices and hotel rooms with iconic and innovative pieces of furniture and lighting. The moment has come for Moooi to launch a rich and refined carpet collection with an extensive assembly of unique, iconic and breathtaking designs. Thanks to a groundbreaking chromojet printer using process colour technology and its accurate tones, it’s possible to reach an extensive mix of colours, opening the doors to an endless and unlimited world of color and depth. The quality of the prints is extremely high definition, making it possible to produce ground breaking photo realistic flooring solutions.

Moooi is available from Space Furniture in Australia and Singapore.
